It’s a whole new dance year at Studio D!
Happy last days of school to our Studio D dancers!
Our first two registrations for Studio D families will be happening Tuesday, June 18 from 4-6pm and the next Tuesday, June 25 from 4-6pm. We will give all returning dancers priority in the Registration for classes for 2019/2020. Also, if you register by June 30th, you will receive a $20 reduction off the Registration fee. We will have Placement information available that will help in enrolling in the appropriate level if your dancer is taking classes that he/she took in the last dance year.
We are very excited to tell you that all of our dance teachers will be returning for the next season, with the exception of Miss Martha, who was kind enough to sub in for Monday Ballet classes. We would like to introduce our new dance teachers: Miss Abby who will be teaching a Tap 1 class on Tuesdays and Miss Emmie, who will be teaching Ballet 2 on Thursdays.
Very exciting news on the Ballet front…we have a strong core of seven different ballet teachers for various levels of dance this year. Among our teachers, our beloved Miss Karen will be joining us again this Fall, teaching Ballet 3, 4 and Pointe classes. Because of the numerous offerings, we have a ballet requirement that is in place for the benefit and growth of our dancers: Any dancer who takes Core Ballet, Level 3 or higher, must take at least two technique classes. (This does not include a pointe class, although a pointe class may be taken in addition to the technique classes.) Additionally, along with Jazz 3 and Modern 3, or higher levels of either of these classes, a dancer must take Ballet. If a dancer chooses to take just one ballet, he/she should look at the Teen Ballet class as an option.
We are excited about our upcoming year and we hope you are too! Attached, you will find our Registration form, Calendar and fee schedule, and our new dance schedule. We will be announcing additional registration dates for new Studio D dancers, so we hope that you will spread the word and bring friends and new dancers to Studio D.
