- Firstly, open the Odisha SSC web portal, which is located at https://ossc.gov.in. Once the portal is open, you will see a button on the top right side labeled “Apply Online”. Click this button to proceed with the registration process.
- Next, click the “New User” link on the screen. This is because you are registering for the first time and must create a new user account. After clicking the new user link, an “Instruction Page” will appear. Ensure to read all instructions on this page before proceeding.
- After you have read and understood the instructions, scroll down the page and click the “Proceed to Registration” button. Once you click the button, a pop-up window will appear, asking you to click “OK” to continue. Click “OK” to proceed.
- You will now need to provide your email ID and mobile number on the registration page that appears. Once you have provided the necessary details, click the “Proceed” button to continue. An OTP will be sent to both your email and mobile number, which you will need to enter for validation. After this step, click the “Next” button, and the registration page will appear on your screen.
- On the registration page, choose a “User Name” of your preference and verify its availability by clicking the “Check Availability” button. If the name is available, proceed to select your preferred post and fill in the other required fields. Remember to provide a password and confirm it in the required fields. You will also need to upload your signature and thumb impression and enter the captcha code.

Once you have finished the registration process, follow the steps below to proceed with your application:
- Click on the “Go to Login” button after registering. This will redirect you to the “Login Page” to proceed further.
- Use your credentials to log in on the login page.
- After logging in, the details of the post you have registered will be displayed. To proceed further, click on the “Preview Registration” button.
- Clicking on the “Preview Registration” button will prompt an alert asking, “Do you want to do this operation?” Click “OK” to proceed.
- Verify all the details on the pop-up by scrolling through the content, then click “Confirm” to proceed.
- After that, an alert will be shown; click “OK” to proceed.
- Click on the “Provide Document Details” link to upload the necessary documents. An alert will appear, saying, “Do you want to do this operation?” Click the “OK” button to continue.
- Provide all the necessary details and click the “Submit” button.
- If the submission is successful, a list of uploaded documents will appear at the bottom. Click the “Confirm” button to proceed.
- Next, make the examination fee payment online by clicking the “Pay Online” link.
- Once the payment is successful, the “Apply Now” link will appear. Click on it and fill out the form with all necessary data.
- On the last tab, tick the undertaking accepting the terms and conditions, confirm the filled-up data, and click the “Preview your Application Form” button.
- Verify all the details carefully and click the “Submit Application” button to submit the form.
- On successful completion of the application, a pdf file will be generated in a separate tab. Download it and keep a printout of the same for future reference.
