It’s a Whole New Dance Year at Studio D…Registration starts tomorrow, June 18th!
Happy Father’s Day and Happy Summer to our Studio D Families!
Our first two registrations for Studio D families will be happening tomorrow, June 18 from 4-6pm and the next Monday, June 25 from 4-6pm. We will give all returning dancers Priority in the Registration for classes for 2018/2019. Also, if you register by June 30th, you will receive a $20 reduction off the Registration fee. We will have Placement information available that will help in enrolling in the appropriate level if your dancer is taking classes that he/she took in the last dance year.
We are very excited to introduce new dance teachers to you this year: Miss Katie C. will be teaching Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, and Jazz, and Miss Allison will be teaching upper level ballet classes. Both teachers come with years of experience in both performance and teaching and we look forward to welcoming them to our teaching staff. Miss Katie L,. and Miss Emmie, will be teaching a Jazz/Tap class and a Ballet 2B class respectively. Both Katie and Emmie have been dancing with Studio D for10 years+ and both are beloved assistant teachers among your young dancers.
We are sad to announce that we have a few teacher departures this year. In addition to Miss Gabby and Miss Liz leaving for college, Miss Ginny will be retiring after over 10 years with us. Mr. Ben will be touring full-time with Pilobolus, and James will be focusing on his family and outside career in the next year. While Miss Ginny and Ben will not be teaching weekly classes they will both be teaching workshops and master classes next year and want to stay involved in the studio. We will miss them tremendously, but we wish them well in their new directions.< /div>
We will be hiring one last teacher to take over our Street classes, and as soon as our new Street teacher is confirmed, we will announce this to you. For those avid James followers, we promise that the new teacher will follow his style and the path that he has prepared you for in your Street work.
We are excited about our upcoming year and we hope you are too! Attached, you will find our Registration form, Calendar and fee schedule, and our new dance schedule. We will be announcing additional registration dates for new Studio D dancers, so we hope that you will spread the word and bring friends and new dancers to Studio D.
With our best wishes to all of the Dads out there for a very happy and relaxed day! And to our Studio families, we know that you have a choice about who will teach your children and where they dance, and we are honored that you have chosen Studio D.
