Calling all 4th Grade Dancers…Mock Audition Day is Saturday, December 7th from 1:30-3
Good morning!
We would like to invite any 4th grade dancers to participate in a “Mock Audition” on Saturday, December 7th from 1:30-3.
This audition will:
- Give the 4th grade dancers an opportunity to choreograph and perform a solo audition, since next year, they will have an opportunity to audition for a character role in our spring performance.
- Learn a short group audition dance from Modern 5 D-Tour Company Dancers.
- Receive constructive feedback and individual attention from experienced dancer role models.
If your 4th grader would like to participate, he/she should:
- Sign up on our mock audition sheet (bulletin board)
- Prepare a 30 to 90 second solo audition
- Bring music that will accompany his/her audition
- Upon arrival at the audition, complete an audition questionnaire
On the audition day, the dancers will start with a group warm up and stretching, followed by the group audition and then the solo auditions.
This is the first year we are doing this mock audition, and we are hopeful that all of the dancers will feel the sense of community and mentorship we aspire to have at Studio D.
